game the two skips will toss for the jack.
9.

the 32oz jacks.
11.
In the event of a
team being short of a player the following order of play
will be accepted. (LEAD, LEAD, TWO LEAD, LEAD, TWO) No
deduction in score.
12.
Each team may take
the jack off the mat once without penalty – the end is
replayed in the same direction. Should a team take the
jack off a second time then an automatic 2 shot penalty
is awarded to the opposition and the end is counted as
played.
13.
No three’s up.
14.
Only the skips may
visit the head when in control of the mat.
15.
At the completion
of the end if the shot cannot be decided it is up to the
number three’s to measure for shot or shots. If the
three’s cannot agree the two skips should make the final
decision.
16.
A player wishing to
play a heavy or firing wood must give both a visual and
verbal warning before playing the shot.
17.
If a bowl is played
with such force that it or a stationary wood go over the
back or side of the fender the opposing skip can either
claim 3 shots or claim the shot s/he was holding or
replay the end from the same direction.
18.
The team winning a
match will be awarded three points.
19.
A match drawn after
15 ends will be decided through an extra end with each
player using only 1 wood. Skips toss for the mat.
20.
Once the match is
completed it is the responsibility of the home team to
phone or email the result through to the League
Statistician within 24 hours. Both teams should retain
the scorecard in case of a dispute in the scores.
21.
All other rules can
be found in the ESMBA Rulebook.
The above Rules are an extract from the more
comprehensive version agreed at the August 2010 AGM.
